Fever Dream — The LO DOWN, Vol. 19
Hi friend,
Watching the café line stretch out the door — every seat filled — was not something we could have imagined for our first few days. You guys blew us away.
Selling out of supplies. Needing new suppliers altogether. Watching you take photos with people you love. Loving on our dogs. Ordering from the salon chair. Wanting more merch, more GOLDEN HOUR x WHITE BRICK.
Is this a fever dream?! The honest truth though: July has been a LOT. So much abundance yes, so much change, so much learning — all at once. Long days, hard work, and I wouldn't trade a second. We prayed for this.
Behind the scenes we're hiring and growing the team, spray tans are officially ready to book (email, text or call to book or learn about the options & upgrades) — and head spa is still in the works, because we want it perfect for you.
Just... thank you.
— Lo
Family Business — Literally
If you've been in this month you’ve probably met the fam: yes, that's my mom on the register and my dad bussing tables and pouring wine. Brandon is doing the most for all things Golden Hour, and I’ve loved seeing him approach the cafe influxes of traffic with the same energy that he brings to the quiet ones. We all benefit from his grounded presence.
The whole family is in on it, and I feel so blessed.
A New Chapter For Me
You'll see me behind the chair a little less these days — and working on the business more. Nurturing it, growing it, wearing all the hats. Letting go of chair time isn't easy — that's where this all started. But building something bigger than two hands can do? That's the dream.
Soul Things
To be honest, there were almost zero soul things going on this month because the only thing we could manage between the exciting days was catch up on sleep! The one exception was Liv's bach party — a weekend celebrating one of our own, and exactly the reset I needed. Feeling so blessed to celebrate on a beautiful day in Chicago, with some of the most incredible humans 🤍
